I started another new blog (airexamples.com) over the holiday break, but have been holding off on posting the URL until I got some content posted.
The Adobe AIR Examples blog mainly focuses on creating Adobe AIR applications using Flex 3 in Flex Builder. I'll also continue to try and blog Flex SDK and Flex Builder specific examples at blog.flexexamples.com and Flash Authoring/ActionScript 3.0 specific examples at actionscriptexamples.com.

Fun with the iPhone spell checker
Going skiing next month. So I started typing some info into the calendar in my iPhone.
I typed Donner, as in Donner Pass. Â The iPhone “corrected” that to Dinner.
Um, yeah, that’s appropriate.
(I’m also sick of the iPhone changing its to it’s. Â Its spell checker doesn’t know what it’s doing!)

Out of all Twitters, 11% are sent using an Adobe AIR application. Out of all Twitters sent from an application (not sent from the Twitter website), 19% are sent using an AIR app. Considering that 44% of all Twits are sent from their site, I think that’s a pretty cool number.

For any developer moving into Silverlight from Flash, one quickly notices that there is no enter frame event in Silverlight. Each Silverlight control does not inherently have a timeline, but instead can have any number of storyboards. A nice way to create your own enter frame event is by using storyboard looping.
Storyboard looping can be done in a handful of ways, but since I’m writing about scripted animation, I’ll talk about creating your storyboard using c#.â?¨
