Pete Freitag recently pointed out a security issue with file uploads. This affected file uploads in cf_sebForm so this update addresses this issue. The update also has other tweeks and features, but no point in covering those until I have some real documentation (soon, I hope). Anyway, if you are using the sebtags custom tags set, upgrade now.

They took a different approach, and use a HTTP header instead, which I think makes more sense.
So how does it work...

ColdFusion 8's OnMissingTemplate() - So Close To Being Good

When ColdFusion 8 came out, I never really paid any attention to Application.cfc's new OnMissingTemplate() event handler. This method allows you to handle 404 errors at the application level rather than the server level. At a glance, it seems like an awesome new feature until you realize that it has one glaring issue: it only works for non-existing CFM templates. Meaning, that if you request a .GIF or .ZIP file that doesn't exist, the OnMissingTemplate() event handler does not get triggered. .

Ask Ben: Overriding Core jQuery Methods

Is there a way to overload the included remove() function in jquery? Possibly a separate js file? For example we are using the min version and it would be cool to not have to add this in each time we upgraded to a new version that has come out? jQuery is such a well thought out, powerful Javascript library, that it actually uses itself to build itself. What I mean by that is that many of the methods provided by the jQuery library are actually built internally as plugin ... Read More&nbsp

Ask Ben: Detecting When DOM Elements Have Been Removed With jQuery

CFPDF - Issues When Using Transparent Images as a Watermark

I saw an interesting question on the abode forums yesterday, about problems with watermarks and cfpdf. The issue involved using transparent png's or gif's as a watermark. The transparent parts of the image seem to be rendered as white, instead of maintaining their transparency. As I was curious, I tried a number of different things but nothing seemed to work except a bit of iText magic. The work around comes from an adaptation of two great iText examples. The example is very simple. It use

Just want to share this bit of info, in case others find it as hard to locate as I did.

If you start to use the new Adobe Presentations service, an online presentation-building tool, now at labs.adobe.com, you may want to engage in some discussion with other users, so may go looking for some forums. You may struggle as I did.

Sadly, there's none for it listed at the acrobat.com forums page. Perhaps that's because Presentations is still in lab status.

There's also none listed in th
